About Us

Aloha, Welcome to Progressive Surfing, a North Shore of Oahu exclusive surf camp.  North Shore resident Myles Padaca has come to share the thrill and stoke of surfing with everyone.

Each year people come from all over the World to surf Hawaii’s waves.  The North Shore of Oahu is famous for its huge waves and legendary riders.   The Triple Crown of Surfing goes on each winter on the North Shore, bringing the best surfers in the world together to compete for the coveted Triple Crown title.

Progressive Surfing camp focuses on each surfer individually.  Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate or an advanced surfer we can help you to progress to the next level.  “The Seven-Mile Miracle” has hundreds of surf breaks to choose from with Sunset, Pipeline, Haleiwa, and Rocky Point being some of the most famous.

As a beginner surfer, lessons start on the beach.   You will learn about ocean safety and proper ocean etiquette.  You will also learn proper body position and how to jump up to a stance.  After we have gone over the basics you will then be ready to hit the water.  Each surfer will have their own soft top surfboards to learn on. These boards are made for specifically for the beginner surfer. Our overall goal is for you to have fun!

An intermediate surfer is someone who is comfortable and capable of catching waves independently. Our intermediate camp focuses on helping you with the specifics of surfing.  You will learn how to choose the right surfboard for your weight and body type.   You will learn how to read the different types of waves, winds, and tides directions. You will also learn how to take off on more challenging waves and how to perform turns.  Some time the North Shores lineups can be intimidating for a novice surfer.  We want to help you feel more confident.  Most of all, we want to make sure you are safe and having fun.

Our advanced surfer program is design to train you in the specifics and nuances of elite surfing: wave shapes, swell direction, winds and tides; how to execute critical takeoffs, bottom turns, cutbacks, floaters, and deep carves; how to perform aerials, snap into barrels, exit through doggy doors, and more. For those that compete in surfing, we will help you on your competitive strategies.  Over the years, we have worked with many coaches and physical trainers.  The knowledge we've gained in managing our own competitive journey has given us unsurpassed insight into performing on the international level.
